Brown Bag with HAVOQ “Undoing Borders: A Queer Manifesto”

Essex Lordes, Li Morales, and Molly Goldberg, from the San Francisco-based collective HAVOQ (the Horizontal Alliance of Very Organized Queers) present Undoing Borders: A Queer Manifesto. Drawing from their organizing work, they focus on the intersections of queerness and freedom of movement, militarization and criminalization, labor, bodies and identities, and organizing strategies. Looking at who profits off of turning us into criminals, they highlight the links between private prison funding and the creation of racist and anti-immigrant laws.
